This followed a video circulating online showing the driver, George Oduor, allegedly driving the wrong side of the road while insulting a CNN reporter, Larry Madowo.
The video, recorded by Madowo, sparked a lot of anger among Kenyans who called on the authorities to take action against the driver.
MP Orero, who was at the scene, seemed to be careless and even asked Madowo to post the video to the President William Ruto a statement interpreted by many as arrogant.
After police started a search, the driver was arrested and charged with violating traffic rules.

Why did George Oduor break traffic rules?
When he was brought to court on Monday, October 13, Oduor admitted the offense and apologized, explaining he was in a hurry to take someone to the airport.
“I know I was wrong. Sorry Mr. Judge. I had no bad intentions. I was in a hurry to take someone to the airport. Said Oduor apologizing.
However, the prosecution opposed his request, claiming that the act was deliberate and the driver showed no regret despite public anger.
Why did the court rejected an apology?
In his decision, the judge accepted the request for an amnesty but emphasized that the law states the fine of up to KSh 100,000 for such offenses.
“I have considered the offense before the court along with your request for amnesty, but the law imposes a clear penalty – a fine of KSh 100,000.
So, I put you a fine fine. You have 14 days to appeal if you are not satisfied with this decision, ” He said.
The driver was ordered to pay a fine immediately or serve a 12 -month prison sentence if he failed to pay.
Larry Madowo said about they criticized him?
As the anger of the people continued, one Kenyan criticized Madowo, claiming he was young for the road.
Madowo replied brutally, emphasizing that he has no sympathy for leaders who despise the people, regardless of their nature or society.
He emphasized the importance of accountability and urged Kenyans to take action against corrupt leaders rather than defending them on the basis of ethnicity or personal trust.
After the incident, creative Kenyans emerged with many comics online using photos of a legislator and his driver.
Some memes showed them wearing crusts or driving a waste truck, while others using AI tools to add more humor.
