Orengo ignores the debate about Raila’s health several months after going through a similar situation

His remarks came a few days after ODM accused opposition leaders of spreading lies about Raila’s health.

During the interview in the TV of NTV Kenya On Wednesday, October 8, Orengo said that the ODM leader had nothing to hide from Kenyans.

The Siaya County boss said that, unlike many politicians, Raila’s health has always been known.

Orengo said that in the past, the ODM leader participated that he sought treatment at local hospitals.

He compared the situation with several months ago when there were rumors about his well -being, adding that some had concluded that he was not of this world.

“I think Raila is fine. I know he is alive. And unlike most political leaders, when he gets sick, Raila talks about him; when he is hospitalized, it is a public thing. Abandon the ideas that people give. I mean, whenever he goes to the hospital, it has never been a secret.

How did Raila defend Orengo?

Orengo’s response was not only the defense of the party’s leader but also the image of personal experience.

Several months earlier, the county chief faced a similar rumor when he took a long break from the public appearance.

Now, several months later, Orengo has found himself defending Raila in the same situation, showing a sigh of relief.

During that period, social networks were filled with rumors that Orengo was very sick, with others claiming he had died.

County officials’ silence stirred further gossip until Raila himself intervened, and dismissed the reports.

In a strong statement at the time, Raila criticized those who spread misconceptions about the health of the governor of Siaya.

He assured the public that Orengo is alive, he is right, and is expected to return to his duties soon.

Raila referred to the people who initiated the rumors as “witches,” accusing them of implementing old politics.

He blamed those who wished the political opponents and demanded maturity and compassion in public debates.
