Kakamega – Police have launched an investigation into allegations of murder of a middle -aged woman in Kakamega town.

Citizen TV reported that a man known as Kassim Asman Wamatsa beat his wife until he died in the cemetery following a family dispute.
Did the suspect send his wife Mochari’s body?
Confirming the incident, Kakamega Police Commander, Vincent Cherutich, said the suspect carried his wife to a motorcycle to Kakamega Referral Hospital, where he was confirmed dead when he was brought.
Preliminary investigations showed that the suspect carried his wife’s body to the hospital claiming he had been attacked by neighbors.
Police said after being confirmed that he had already died, the suspect registered his body and disappeared.
“The suspect took his wife to the hospital, but when they arrived, it was found that he was already dead. The nurses also found out he had many injuries to his body,” Said Cherutich.
Alfred, telling the local elder, said residents had received the news in shock, adding that the two had endless conflicts.
Amambia said the neighbors were surprised to hear that the suspect carried his wife’s body to Mochari without anyone knowing.
“We have been surprised by the news that one of us here has killed his wife and sent him to Mochari himself. The two have always been arguing,”Said he told.
Why did a Kakamega man kill his wife?
A neighbor narrated how they heard the man complain about the loss of KSh 5,400 and a cellphone, but they did not interfere with the couple’s dispute.
“Husband, Kassim Asman, started beating his wife at one o’clock in the evening claiming he had stolen Ksh 5,400 with his phone. We heard his cries, and he might have died that night.Said a neighbor.
Angry residents invaded the suspect’s house, but when they missed him, they destroyed his property to complain about the incident.
Police are currently searching for Kassim, who is a shoe shole from Muliro Gardens, Kakamega, Lunani Village, Lurambi Division.
How a man killed his girlfriend Riat, Kisumu
In other sad news, one family in the Riat area, Kisumu County, suffered sadness after their daughter, a recent graduate, allegedly killed during a ceremony organized by her friend in Otonglo – just one century from her parents’ home.
According to the investigation, the ceremony turned out to be sad after his ex -boyfriend, Victor Otieno, invaded the event while carrying a sword.
He allegedly threatened the witnesses before attacking Akoth and then escaping.
Police later found a blood weapon, believed to have been used in the killing, hidden under the Otieno bed in his Kisumu West house.
