Catherine Nkatha is worried about her younger brother, Daniel Mwenda Chokera, who has disappeared for several weeks.
The mother of one child said she learned about the disappearance of her sister from the OCS, who highlighted the information.
Nkatha explained that he had been trying to reach his brother for more than a month without success.
When did Daniel Mwenda disappear?
“I tried to call him in August. Sometimes his phone was turned off, and when it came back online, he didn’t respond anymore. When I tried to call him he didn’t receive it. I previously thought it was probably an internet issue.
On this special day in September, I tried to call her, and OCS received it. He told me my brother had been lost for a month. I was shocked. I was confused, ” He told TUKO.co.ke.
According to single mother, Mwenda disappeared on Thursday morning, August 7, after reporting to the police station.
He arrived at Ndumuru police station at 12am, and connected his phone to the charger and left the area.
How was the man dressed when he disappeared?
“He was wearing green pants and a black hat when he left, he was no longer seen or heard. The police tried to find him but later they were discouraged. They also said the police station was in the remote area and that was completely safe, and if I wanted to find him there, I would need to march,” he added.
Nkatha noted that before her brother disappeared, she met her school friend.
They met three days before his disappearance, though he doubted that the friend had anything to do with it.
The 38 -year -old said her brother had a family living in Marsabit County, including a wife and three children.
Nkatha requests counseling after her brother disappears
“The last time his wife talked to her, there was nothing terrible, there was no indication of wanting to harm himself or disappeared, the family is now very worried about where he is, like me.
I have been very stressful and I have to go for counseling. I’m accustomed to seeing stories of lost people online, but I never thought it could happen to my family. It has overwhelmed me a lot, ” He explained.
Nkatha is now planning to search for mortuary and hospital, as the police no longer look for her brother.
