Chris (not his real name) was attacked by a gang of knives early in the morning as he waited for his school bus in his common area near the street.
He remembered bowing to tie the shoe straps when one of the two people approached him with a knife.
What did the criminals ask the Kasarani boy?
A ninth -grade student said he didn’t know what they wanted, but one of them came close to stabbing him and asked if he had a phone.
“I told them I didn’t have a phone, and the second person tried to burn me again. I used my hand to block a knife, and that’s how I got a knife on my right hand,” said in a report of NTV Kenya.
Knife injuries left him bleeding, and had to undergo surgery after being rushed to hospital.
Her mother narrated to see the blood path from where her son was burned to their door.
The frustrated mother exposed her pain, noting that the police did not care for her son’s safety even after the incident.
“It was not important to them. He said.
However, Chris’s case has not been excluded, as residents of Kasarani have complained of an increase in the number of attacks on gangs.

“I didn’t see if it was coming, they were planning to rob me, and when I was persuaded to help, they took all the money I had that day and my phone too, I couldn’t do anything because they had knives,” Said Maina.
John Omoke, a guardian in one small Kasarani farm, said he recently witnessed one of his tenant being robbed.
According to Omoke, three men on the motorcycle stopped the tenant and took his laptop, phone and money. He also added that the men had guns, not knives.
“There is a tenant who leaves home at 5am and I opened the gate, five minutes later I heard him scream and get out and find two men on a motorcycle, one had a knife and forced him to surrender his bag that they ran with,” He said.
The residents have complained about the police force in addressing the issues, despite the invaders breaking the law under their nose.
