Why did Litein Secondary School students hit?
The violence erupted on Sunday night, September 21, after the school leadership refused to allow students to watch the expected England Premier League match.
Match between Arsenal and Manchester City It ended in a 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium.
After missing the game, the students committed violence and caused significant damage to millions of Kenyan funds.
They were returned home and fined KSh 137,000 per student for a loss caused that night.
When did Litein High School be reopened?
The students returned to school on Monday morning, September 29, accompanied by their parents.
However, the events took a different stream as quickly as high school students and their guardians were sent home shortly afterwards.
The school’s heart change was associated with fears of the possibility of another strike, causing anxiety following previous chaos.
The parents expressed deep sadness at the administrative decision.

“We arrived here at eight o’clock in the morning. We saw our children destroyed school property. Classes and everything was completely destroyed. We ask the government to help us,” Julius Chepkwony, the parent said.
Elizabeth Beion called on the government and teachers to meet and discuss the school’s challenges.
He expressed his concern to fourth -year students from occupying the Kenya Secondary Education Certificate (KCSE) 2025.
“Where will the fourth -year students go? Where will they do their last national exams? The government should come and decide what to do about this school so that our children’s education can continue,” He said.
PARENTS SUPPORTS THE LITEIN HIGH SCHOOL
Another parent, Dominic Cheruiyot, joined his complaint after he was asked to return home despite being told to report to school with his child that morning.
Cheruiyot complained that the school was not right after the strike.
“In my opinion, the headmaster must do something. All these problems we see started for him. Right now we are closing back home, but we do not know when the lessons will continue in Litein Secondary School,” He said.

New information emerges about Litein High School
In a separate report, new information emerged during a parent meeting at Litein High School following the suspension of all students.
It was found that the female teacher’s house had been demolished by students, who destroyed the property and committed some strange actions.
