Video: Faith Kipyegon hugs her husband in love after returning to Kenya from Tokyo

The star was one of Kenya’s best participants in Tokyo, contributing two of the 11 medals won by Kenya in the tournament.

He won his fourth world title in the 1500 -meter race and also won the silver medal in the women’s 5000 -meter race, finishing behind his partner and his friend, Beatrice Chebet.

Kipyegon and some Kenyan athletes returned to the country after successfully participating in the world tournament.

48 athletes, including Kipyegon, two -time world champion Beatrice Chebet and Emmanuel Wanyonyi, returned to Kenya.

When Kipyegon appeared on the field, he was welcomed by the Secretary of Sports, Elijah Mwangi, who handed over the flower crown.

The athlete then hugged her husband, participating in a heart attack while among the leaders waiting for him on the field.

They gave each other a short time before the camera turned to other places.

He proudly showed his two medals to the camera while traditional music was played in the background.

What did Faith Kipyegon accomplish tokyo?

Kipyegon ruled the women’s 1500 -meter race, taking his fourth world title with a happy gap.

Since Ethiopia Gudaf Tsegay and Diribe Welteji did not attend the tournament, Kipyegon’s victory seemed to be inevitable.

Jessica Hull from Australia tried to challenge him but finished third, with Dorcus Ewoi finishing second.

He also won the silver medal in the 5000 -meter race, the crown he won in 2023. Although he tried to challenge Chebet, he finally failed.

Who won gold medals for Kenya?

Kipyegon and Chebet won three of the seven Kenyan gold medals, where Chebet also won the 10,000 -meter women’s race.

Faith Cherotich shocked the world by knocking Winfred Yavi and winning the 3000 -meter jumping crown, with Wanyonyi winning one of the fierce 800 meters.

He was the only male athlete to win gold to Kenya in Tokyo.

Peres Jepchirchir won the women’s marathon, with Lilian Odira surprising many by knocking out Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson winning the 800 -meter race.

Mary Moraa and Sarah Moraa finished out of the medal in the 800 -meter race.
