Mr. Kioni said the session was part of the Jubilee strategy to revive the party and organize a new agenda towards the next general election.
“We met to strengthen the party, exchange ideas and prepare a new direction. Dr. Matiang’i was directly related to this important debate,” Said Kion.
For his part, Wambugu said the session was the beginning of the Jubilee strategy to return to power through democratic elections.

Political analysts predicted that a special Friday meeting could be used to officially announce Matiang’i as the leader of the Jubilee party and his presidential candidate in 2027.
