The incident occurred during a meeting between Pepela and former Zanzibar MP, Chris Wamalwa.
According to a video that TUKO.co.ke got married, the dispute left when Wamalwa appeared to give a pistol to protect Pepela against Juma, who appeared to refuse efforts to calm the situation.
Juma claimed that Pepela had repeatedly despised Wetang’ula, the leader of the Ford-Kenya party, and demanded that he be given a count of his words.

The club’s security guards later pulled Juma out to prevent the controversy from continuing.
Pepela, a politician from Kitale, won the Saboti parliamentary seat unsuccessfully in 2017 and 2022.
Although he holds a leadership position within Ford-Kenya Trans-Nzoia County, he was reportedly criticizing Wetang’ula for his influence in the region, accusing him of interfering with politics and claiming he was denied a job in the government for internal party politics.
