A heavy cloud of sadness has spread in one village in Mpeketoni, Lamu County, following the brutal killing of 18 -year -old Francis Ngugi.

Ngugi reportedly disappeared with his family one day after he failed to return home, and his lifeless body was found 10 days later.
Who killed Francis Ngugi?
Ngugi was allegedly killed by a criminal gang known for a series of looting in the area.
According to residents, the boy was arrested by his killers, tortured and killed. They believe his body was thrown into the well to hide evidence of crime.
Jonathan Njogu, a resident of the area, said the unpleasant odor from the well was the sign of the incident, leading the family to be informed and went to inspect the area.
“The things they did to the boy were cruel. Said Mwangi Njuguna, another resident.
A report on the corpse showed that Ngugi suffered a serious head injury and also lacked air, which led to his death.
What did Ngugi’s father say?
Speaking to the media, Gabriel Ndichu, his father, remembered that pain when he saw and recognized his son dead.
“When they took him out of the well, I recognized him immediately.”He said in a sad voice.
His uncle, Johana Mungai, also explained that the boy had a wound in the back of the head.
“Doctors could not get much during the examination because the body had begun to rot,” He said.
Residents of Mpeketon expressed their anger at the police and local officials by not taking concrete steps to end the gang’s actions.

“This is the second murder in the short term. The killings continue and no one is taking action to stop it,” Said Elizabeth Muthoni, another resident.
Some claimed that the murderers deliberately gave Ngugi eyes to make it difficult for people to understand them.
The deceased was a first -year student at Lake Kenyatta High School, the area.
Mpeketoni Police Commander Mohamed Larat said that officials of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI) had taken responsibility for investigating the case to find criminals and bring them before the law.

In another news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a family in Kisii County suffered a tragedy following the death of their only son, Ben Maxwel Ombui.
Ben drowned in a swimming pool at the Tsavo Inn hotel, where he had gone to celebrate his birthday with his friends.
His sad family wanted to find answers about the circumstances of his death, insisting that the hotel management should provide CCTV pictures to prove whether his sinking was an accident or not.
