Simon Warui’s family claims a response after dying in a vague case in detention at Mombasa police station.

Warui, a resident of the Union Estate in Nairobi, allegedly disappeared from his home on Sunday, September 14.
The 26 -year -old’s relative spent many days in search of him, not knowing he had been taken to the coast.
However, the success came about when the family learned that Warui was in Mombasa, under police protection.
It is alleged that the family knew his restraint after using the Catholic body of the Catholic Church to contact his wife.
Previously, they felt a recovery to find him, but that hope changed quickly to shock and sadness because when they arrived at the police station, Warui was already dead.
“When we arrived that night, we did not go see her immediately, we first went to rest and plan to see each other in the morning, and we went to Central, and then we were sent DCI And his brother.

Geodfrey Gichuru, the cousin of Warui, expressed the despair of the family, emphasizing that they were only interested in the truth.

“We got the news in shock and we just want to know what happened to Simon so we can be closed for this; if we can find answers from anyone involved, then we can seek justice for Simon,” Gichuru said.
A corpse examination conducted at the Main Teachers’ Hospital and Coastal Appeal revealed that Warui died from a heart attack caused by a neck breakdown, in conjunction with falling from height.
Additional injuries included a breakdown of the arm, head injury, bleeding of the spinal cord, and ligature marks.
Authorities claimed that Warui, who was being detained for a robbery case, died while trying to escape.

Why have the righteous groups questioned the death of the Warui?
Human rights activists, however, are questioning this account, demanding answers about where the officers were on time when Warui allegedly died.

Walid Sketty of Vocal Africa cited the situation as questionable, adding that Warui’s personal items have not yet been handed over.
