The Siaya National Polytechnic Institute mourns the sad death of one of his students who was attacked and killed while on duty as a security guard.

The victim, identified as Owino Oloo Japheth, a student of construction and engineering, was turned around the shop near Siaya KMTC On Monday night, September 15, when the thieves invaded.
How was the Siaya National Polytechnic student killed?
According to the news, the robbers raided him, tied him up and left the corpse before running with goods whose value was unknown.
His body was discovered on Tuesday morning, causing anxiety in the institution and the broader community of Siaya.
In a statement, the school’s principal, Daniel Randa, described Japheth’s death as a major blow to polytechnic and the student’s family.
“It is with great sadness and shock that we are announcing the sudden death of Japheth. He is from Siaya County, Alego Small County Usonga, in the western part of Alego, the small Mahola, Kolal village,” the announcement read.
The chief added that funeral arrangements will be announced immediately after the consultation with the family is completed.
He also sent condolences on behalf of the institute, noting that the entire Siaya National Polytechnic community had been severely affected by the incident.
Murkomen will be informed about the death of a Siaya student
The incident was accompanied by an official visit by the Minister of Internal Security Kipchumba Murkomen In Siaya County, where he held talks with governor James Orengo, security officials and residents at the security forum for the security forum.
He said students have been faced with the most dangerous, especially in areas with poor lighting around the institution.
