On Sunday, September 14, friends and family gathered in the Evangelical Lutheran Church Tanzania (KKKT), Kijitonyama, for the ritual of sadness.
As a result of the tragedy, it was found that Francis and Sophia Makange were married in 2002 and were blessed with four children.
Their eldest daughter, Janemaary, was born in 2001, and until her death she was working in Igunga District Council, Tabora as a business and industrial officer.
Another brother, Elineema Hamis Kaggi, was born in 1990 and was an accountant in Tanesco.
Kaggi’s second daughter, Maria, was born in 2005 and had completed the secondary exam, while Joshua, born in 2018, was a student at Sunrise Primary School.
The mourners comforted Makange’s mother
Dar es Salaam City manager, Elihuruma Mabelya, was among those who went to comfort the Makange family, where their mother, Sophia, is a teacher at Kisutu Girls Secondary.
“Mama Sophia serves with us, and she is in a very difficult time of mourning. As a family, we are with her, and we will help her in this moment of sadness,” Said Mabelya.
During the reading of the deceased’s profile, a family spokesman explained that Francis had left a wife and one child, Michelle. His body will be transported to Tanga for burial.
