The Jubilee party has confirmed that it will not submit a candidate in the upcoming North Mbeere parliamentary elections, scheduled for November 27.

The party’s deputy secretary, Pauline Njoroge, said that the party’s Executive Committee (NEC), led by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, had not provided nomination papers to any candidate.
Who will the Jubilee support in the North Mbeere elections?
The Jubilee has instead pledged to support the opposition candidate, ignoring the internal nomination reports.
“The Jubilee party will not stop the candidate in this race. Instead, we will stand behind the opposition candidate. Take it to the bank, and take all other claims as empty rumors,” He said.

What candidate will UDA have a candidate in the north?
Other news, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki praised the unity and leadership of the nominees who had dismissed and favored Leonard Muriuki to represent the Democratic Union (UDA) in the upcoming North Mbeere elections.
Kindiki confirmed the full support of the party with Muriuki and announced that he would receive his official nomination certificate a few days after the approved.
Former local MP Charles Muriuki Njagagua, one of the eight candidates who withdrew from the race has been appointed to lead the campaign secretariat.
Kindiki said that the team would include all former participants, working together to secure a victory for the candidate UDA.
Did the Gachagua party withdrew from the North Mbeere race?
The announcement came just days after the Democracy Party (DCP) also withdrew from the race, and passed the Democratic Party (DP) candidate.
In a statement released on Wednesday, DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua said the decision aims to strengthen relations within the opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general election.

Also praised the DP leader Justin Muturi As a person who is respected by the leadership qualities needed to gain victory.
Meanwhile, the North Mbeere seat was open following the appointment of former MP Geoffrey Ruku in the Cabinet and President William Rutowho now serves as Minister of Public Service.
In what areas will the minority be held?
Other information, chair of IEBC Erastus Ethekon issued a Government newspaper notice to announce a by -election in various areas.
The votes will be held in 16 wards, including Angata Nanyokie, Chewani/Kapng’etuny, Chewani, Fafi, Kariobangi North, East, Metkei, North Mumbuni, Narok Town, Purko, Warning, Nyansongo, Nyamaiya, Ekerenyo, Lake Region, and Nanaam.
