Irungu Kang’ata failed to attend a meeting of Murang’a leaders with President Ruto

However, the governor of Murang’a County, expected to attend the meeting with Ruto and county officials, was absent.

Among the leaders who attended the meeting was the Deputy President, Kithure KindikiElected MP Sabina Chege, and Land Minister Alice Wahome, among others.

Why did William Ruto call Murang’a leaders?

The head of state went to his social networks to highlight the importance of his meeting with officials from the Murang’a area.

Appearing in an effort to gain support from Murang’a officials, Ruto highlighted a number of developing government development projects in the region.

“We have allocated KSh 23 billion for the construction of 10,300 cheap houses, KSh3.5 billion on road upgrades, KSh2.3 billion for the development of 23 modern markets, and KSh 3 billion for new student hostels,” Ruto said.

“To speed up entrepreneurship and integrated growth, more than 10,000 households will be connected to December through our comprehensive KSh 850 million electricity supply project. We are also committed to building two modern plots worth more than Sh1.5 billion,” He added.
