Zedekiah Bundotich: William Ruto’s chief critic from Uasin Gishu enters UDA

The rich man’s decision ends the long -standing public criticism against the President William Ruto and his political camp.

Buzeki, who has won the governorship seat of Uasin Gishu twice, was officially welcomed at the party on Thursday, September 11, at the Hustler center in Nairobi.

The event was chaired by the Secretary -General of UDAOmar Hassan Omar, who assured Buzeki’s support for the party with the 2027 political change.

Omar said Buzeki’s entry is important to the party, especially in the bottom-up system of the bottom-up economy which is the backbone of the UDA development agenda.

“Welcome to UDA. We want a bottom-up and we have confidence and you will also strengthen the bottom-up policy when you become a member of UDA. I wish you all the best, and your expectations will also be our expectations. Omar said during the event.

Buzeki’s commitment to UDA is expected to shake the politics of Uasin Gishu ahead of the 2027 elections.

He looks very much like the opponent of the incumbent Governor Jonathan Bii, known as one jacket, who grabbed the seat for the UDA ticket in 2022.

Former Ruto critic, Buzeki that he has seen signs of economic development and the implementation of policies that prompted him to abandon his original position.

In his first speech, Buzeki expressed his gratitude to the party for welcoming him and confirming his commitment to support the government’s development agenda.

He said the session was not easily conducted but due to the satisfaction that the UDA change schedule is already fruitful.

“We do not want to be managers of the fence. We want to come here, where economic reforms in Kenya are taking place, so that the history of Kenya is remembered that Buzeki, the people of Uasin Gishu, and Uda have changed the Kenyan economy at present, in the future, and for future generations,” He said.

The businessman, who built a wealth in transportation and agricultural trade, adds that his experience in efficiency will help accelerate the economic sector.

He emphasized that Kenya has reached the point of change and that he does not want to stay aside.

“We didn’t come here for Luck Worse we have come here, so that we can be responsible with you and support the good work you have done so far is accelerated, ” he added.

Buzeki’s efforts to run for governor Uasin Gishu

Buzeki’s political journey has been consistent with high -profile campaigns.

In 2017, he joined the Jubilee party in order to remove the governor of the time Jackson Mandago.

Despite a heavy capacity campaign, he was defeated by Mandago, who received 126,681 votes against 82,869.

Refusing to resign, Buzeki relied on the general election, where he received 148,121 votes but still emerged second with 193,604 votes for Mandago.

In 2022, he returned to another shot, this time as free from the beginning.

His decision not to join the UDA seemed to be expensive, as the party enjoyed the great support of the ruins in the Rift Valley.

He was defeated by Bii, who grabbed the seat by 214,036 votes, leaving Buzeki back again.
