A Nairobi woman who rented a car used in a robbery begs for forgiveness: “I pay loan”

The owner of the car whose car was allegedly involved in a robbery incident in Parklands asked the mountain court on September 10 to be released.

Did a woman from Nairobi rent a car?

The applicant explained that he was accused of renting his car to Ezekiel Mutuku, also known as the eyes, before being involved in the theft.

He told the court that the ban on his car caused him to struggle financially and failed to serve his family.

“I have recently received a call that my daughter has been returned to the school fees. It has been two months and a week since the car was barred,” He said.

He also informed the court that he had bought the car on loan.

“Your honor, the car is on loan. Usually I pay KSh 50,000 a month, but for the last two months I couldn’t pay because I couldn’t collect any amount,” He said.

The applicant apologized, insisting that he was not part of the crime.

“Your honor, anyone who has committed a crime in general enjoys his life. As I showed in my request, I agreed to follow the investigative team. I already gave my information, and I am ready to provide cooperation,” He explained.

He questioned whether the car needed to remain at the police station, claiming that it was not used for any purpose.

On the other hand, the investigating officer confirmed to the court that he had been given the application, but noted that they had no dates for the hearing.

He said the issue could not be ignored as part of an investigation into ongoing theft.

How much was the complainant robbed?

He revealed that the complainant, Mr. Patel Kashyakumar, had reported stolen KSh 999,000.

Reporting the monitoring procedure, the officer said,

“We realized that some partners had traveled up to Eldoret. When we arrived in Eldoret, we were able to arrest one of the respondents, Mr. Ezekiel Mutuku. ” He added

“When we captured the car, the people inside the car got out and shouted, ‘We are the police, we are thieves!’ Citizens turned to us, which allowed other suspects to escape.

During the search of the car, police found several items, including the actual registration plate, police uniforms, and tools used in the theft of the I&M bank.

“The complainant was stolen while the suspects were wearing traffic police uniforms, and the uniforms were obtained from the applicant’s car.”

The officer confirmed that the applicant later presented himself to the center, claiming to be a businessman involved in car rental services and issued a car rental record for Mutuku.

In his decision, senior judge Benmark Ekhubi ordered that the complainant, Mr. Patel Kashyakumar, arriving in court on September 17 to identify a car allegedly blocking him during the robbery.
