Despite the possibility of entry of travelers and many activities during the conference, condom distribution has been identified among strategic plans.
Why are condoms offered in Homa Bay County
Homa Bay County is known to be one of the counties with high HIV prevalence, with more than 15%.
In partnership with the county government, the National Council for Disease Control (NSDCC) has announced that 10,000 condoms will be issued daily to combat HIV/AIDS.
Fever Bay is known to be among the regions with high levels of HIV infection.
Products will be provided in selected areas, as well as in accommodation and venues.
The supply began on Sunday, August 10, when celebrities gathered for a concert in the Ruma National Park.
By Monday morning, there was evidence that the immune system had been used and the residues were scattered in the open field.
NSDCC regional coordinator, Stephen Oyugi, said that the challenge lies in how withdrawal is made.
“They were distributed in open spaces and used in areas known as ‘lodges’. Although we support the use of condoms, we must now deal with the issue of good environmental disposal,” NTV It quoted Oyugi as saying.
“This was a unique situation. Considering that it is a garden, we saw evidence of close operations in hidden corners. The presence of condoms used confirms that the ‘Green Lodge’ thing is very alive,” he added.
