Pavillion Motiryot: A relative appeared in the video beating Kalenjin’s comedian is accused

Nairobi: The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has sued businessman Bernard Kipkosgei Koyumi, the famous Pavillion Motiryot, a day after being recorded attacking Kalenjin Carren Carren Chepchy, the famous Bella Comedy.

The incident took place on August 9, 2025, during the Titit Cultural Festival in the Carnivore Nairobi Garden.

Pavillion Motiryot was charged with?

Arriving before the chief judge of the Kibera Court CM Njagi, he was charged with theft of force and attack and caused real body harm.

“He was also charged with an attack to cause real body harm. It is alleged that on August 9, 2025, at 2000 hours, in the Carnivore Ground area in Langata sub -county, Nairobi County, he hit Carren Chepchumba, the famous Bella Comedy, causing serious harm to the body,” ODPP said in a statement.

According to the ODPP, he attacked him with kicks and blows, causing injuries to his leg, stomach and chest.

“At the occasion, he met other content designers, who enjoyed music with them and made content online. It was time to prepare the content that he met the defendant who dragged him and attacked him with kicks and blows, causing many injuries to his leg, stomach and chest,” The ODPP statement stated.

What did Pavillion robbed Bella Comedy?

The court heard that the defendant robbed Bella cash in KSh 30,000 and the Redmi 14 Pro phone worth Ksh 26,000 before attacking him.

Pavillion denied the charges and released a Ksh 500,000 bond.

However, before the charges, Pavillion admitted to slap Bella, claiming the dispute was due to an ongoing online dispute.

He said he had previously warned him to stop making statements about him and, when they met at the Tit Cultural Festival, he asked to talk to him in private.

According to him, he started screaming, causing him to invade him because he felt he had destroyed him.

How did Bella Comedy respond after being attacked?

Meanwhile, Bella denied the businessman’s claim that he defrauded him online, insisting that he had to report it instead of attacking him.

He held that he was not the only person to share his story and said his content focuses on topics.

He said he intended to report the incident to the police and had no plans to forgive him despite his request for private talks.

Bella went on to claim that the attack caused her serious harm to the body and caused the loss of childbirth and added that the incident had caused her deep sadness.
