Ten-man Harambee Stars have held Angola to a 1‑1 draw in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) Group A match on Thursday, August 7, at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi.
Angola took the lead in the seventh minute through Jó Paciência after a quick counterattack exposed Kenya’s defence.
Five minutes later, Kenya levelled when Austin Odhiambo converted a penalty following a foul by an Angola defender.
Marvin Omondi received a straight red card in the 21st minute for denying a clear goal‑scoring opportunity.
Despite the disadvantage, Harambee Stars regrouped and defended resolutely for the remainder of the match to secure a draw on home soil.
Kenya had opened the tournament with a 1‑0 win over DR Congo.
Angola lost their opener 2‑0 to Morocco and needed to bounce back.
