The post reports that the Nairobi court has issued a warrant for the arrest of City attorney Guy Spencer Elms for allegedly forged British billionaire Roger Bryan Robson.
The case involves a controversial land dispute in Karen, Nairobi, about two parts of land estimated at more than Ksh100 million.
Mountains Chief Justice Benmark Ekhubi issued the permit after the Director of Public Prosecutions informed the court that Spencer ignored a valid call.

Despite his attorney’s statement that Spencer was serving a sick child abroad and had already planned a return trip to attend the next court date, the judge refused to suspend the document, emphasizing the importance of following the court’s instructions.
Spencer faces five criminal charges, including the repair and declaration of false documents, forged a lawyer’s document, and to try to acquire property by fraud. Prosecutors claim that he used fake documents, including the will and power of attorney, trying to claim Karen’s land.
The property is also claimed by businessman Agnes Kagure Kariuki, who says he bought it legally from Robson in 2011.
Spencer insists that he was implementing Robson’s wishes to use land revenue for aid. The court has ordered Spencer on August 11 to answer his request.
2. Daily Nation
The newspaper highlighted the rise of tensions within Kenya’s opposition following a Jubilee party’s surprise announcement that it could authorize Raila Odinga to run for 2027, on condition that he would break ties with President William Ruto and the government of Kenya first.
Jubilee vice -chairman David Murathe, a close ally of former president Uhuru Kenyatta, said the party still sees Raila as the leader of the coalition of a coalition but is expected to be understood in his political direction before making the final decision.
This position, however, is in conflict with the position of Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, who holds that the Jubilee supports former Minister Fred Matiang’i to run for the top seat.
The statement has unstable leaders within the opposition, thus sparking criticism from Democratic Action Party -Kenya (DAP -K) leader Eugene Wamalwa.
He accused Raila of betraying Kenyans for accompanying Ruto and insisting that if he returned to the opposition, he must first apologize and join the list of people who hope to pursue hope which includes Kalonzo Musyoka, Malwa, Martha Karua and others.
ODM leaders have also responded. Secretary -General Edwin Sifuna expressed displeasure with Raila’s cooperation with the government while Deputy Leader Godfrey Osotsi emphasized that any support for Raila should be unconditional.
3. Nation today
The daily Swahili newspaper reported an ongoing political storm on the post of Nairobi governor, with senior political leaders and parties already struggling to control the Kenyan capital ahead of the 2027 general elections.
President William Ruto, ODM leader Raila Odinga, and former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua have launched strategic campaigns to want more than 2.4 million voters registered in the city.
With Nairobi being the largest voting camp in the country and the main economic center, political analysts say the defense is important for any presidential candidate.
In 2022, Johnson Sakaja of Uda won the seat by 699,392 votes, winning the resolution, Polycarp Igathe, who got 573,516 votes.
Raila’s decision to support Igathe about Tim Wanyonyi of ODM sparked a state of dissatisfaction at the ODM Nairobi Center, which could lead to the party’s internal politics moving forward.
2027 as it approaches, Sakaja seeks to be re -elected, citing her song record. However, the race attracts other competitors.
Wanyonyi has focused on the Bungoma governor, accompanied by a broad agreement involving RutoRaila, and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula.
Emerging opponents include Embakasi East MP Grandpa Owinowho has announced his intention to be supported by or without support by ODM, former journalist Tony Gokaa running for Kanu’s ticket, and Irungu Nyakera under DCP of Gachagua, who will compete with North Embakasi MP James Gakuya.

The post reported that Siaya Governor James Orengo had returned to Kenya quietly after a whole month of medical travel in the United States, thus ending rumors weeks about his public absence.
His arrival on Tuesday night at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport came just one day after the newspaper revealed details of the trip and his treatment abroad.
Orengo had been seen in the last time on June 23, arriving before the Senate Committee a few hours before leaving Kenya using the Emirates Flight Ek720 plane.
Earlier, on June 5, he led Siaya leaders to the White House for a meeting aimed at reducing political tensions between county and national government officials.
His prolonged absence raised concerns about the Siaya administration, with critics citing leadership and accusing some county officials of violating their constitutional responsibilities.
In particular, the Speaker of the County Assembly George Okode took up unusual responsibilities during this period.
Civil society such as the Citizen Parliament, as well as the residents involved, questioned the lack of transparency about the absence of the governor.
Some arrived to submit an application to the County Assembly seeking to be fully exposed to the state and the state of the county when he was absent.
