NAIROBI, KENYA: A mother who was deeply saddened by the death of her drowned son while playing with her older brother, failed to restrain herself when she saw her body being brought in.

When the toddler’s body was found, Agnes Owino gave a towel in the hope that it was probably only cold, and perhaps covered it would bring warmth and make her wake up.

For Agnes, it was a very sad state – the baby left home, and the second he heard was a phone call about his son.

The boy was rescued by two men – one bodaboda and another carpenter – who fought night and day in cold and dirty water to find the baby, but sadly found him already dead.
