Sifuna said this on Sunday, August 3, during a symposium to empower women in the Saboti area, Trans Nzoia County, amid pressure to resign from some members of the party.

He defended his right to speak personally about political issues, saying there should be a clear difference between his personal views and his official role in the party.

Will Edwin Sifuna join the opposition?

His comments came just days after senior ODM officials, including party leader Raila Odinga, issued a statement confirming the cooperation with the Kenyan administration first until 2027.
