Advocate of the High Court Ndegwa Njiru has taken a firm stance against President William Ruto, urging him to exercise humility and temper his pride by recalling the narrow margin by which he won the 2022 presidential election.
In a pointed message shared on his X account on Sunday, July 13, 2025, Njiru reminded Ruto that the victory he celebrated was by a slim margin of approximately 200,000 votes, a fact that should serve as a reminder to remain grounded despite the trappings of power.
“Kasongo, reduce your arrogance. Remember that you won the 2022 election with a slim margin of only 200,000 votes,” Ndegwa Njiru wrote, using one of Ruto’s nicknames, ‘Kasongo’, to underscore his challenge.
On the same note, Ndegwa noted that Kenyans will ultimately triumph in their battle against President Ruto, insisting that the head of state is destined to be a one-term leader, as many have already predicted.
“Kenyans Vs Ruto = Wantam.”

Reminder to Raila
Hours before the harsh reminder to President Ruto, Ndegwa had taken to social media with a strongly worded message aimed at Azimio leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of interfering with the current Gen Z-led movement.
In his post, Ndegwa dismissed any notion of dialogue, stating that Kenyans were no longer interested in what he described as Raila’s negotiation hogwash.
He asserted that the country was now safely in the hands of what he called “real patriots” — the youth of Generation Y and Z — and told Raila to keep off from intermeddling with national affairs.
“Someone tell @RailaOdinga that Kenyans are no longer interested in his negotiation hogwash. Kenya is now safely in the hands of real patriots, the Gen-Ys and Gen-Zs.”

Referring to past political dealings as deceptive, Ndegwa claimed that Kenyans had been conned long enough and should not be subjected to any further manipulation.
He ended his post with a firm declaration that the youth were not ready to negotiate and summed up the current struggle as a face-off between Kenyans and the establishment, branding it bluntly as “Kenyans Vs Kasongo = WANTAM.”
“Raila must keep off from intermeddling with Kenyan affairs. You have conned us enough. We are not negotiating with our KILLERS. Kenyans vs Kasongo = WANTAM.”
