Popular fitness coach and influencer Frankie Just Gym It has opened up about being expelled from school for physically attacking a teacher.
Speaking during an episode of the Glitch Africa Studios podcast on Friday, July 5, 2025, Frankie shared the shocking details of two incidents from his school days that saw him suspended.
Frankie began by clarifying that although some people may think he was a bully, he never set out to destroy anyone’s spirit.
“Bullying is different. It’s like trying to destroy someone’s spirits. I don’t think I bullied people,” he said.
He admitted, however, that he had been suspended twice for violent behaviour. The first incident involved a fellow student.
“I did get suspended twice for beating someone. It wasn’t even a student; it was a teacher,” he said before explaining the full story.
“There was a situation where there was a boy who had a ball, and I was trying to tell him to give me the ball so we were going to play with it in the evening. And he was trying to throw it to someone, expecting me to go get it. And I was like, ‘Hand me the ball and we’ll go back to class.’ And he is like, ‘No, come get it.’ And I was like, ‘Fine, don’t move’, and then he goes ahead and throws it away,” he recalled.
“I held him and choked him, punched his throat, smacked him, and he went flying, and everyone was like, ‘You can’t do that,’” Frankie said this confrontation led to his first suspension.
The second incident, which involved a teacher, was even more serious and ultimately got him expelled.
“We were in class, and we were having a conversation. There was this guy beside me, a teacher’s pet, and we used to have squabbles. We were complete opposites,” he said.
According to Frankie, the classmate asked him about something the teacher had said, and he was explaining it when the teacher interrupted.
“I heard the teacher call me, ‘Frankie, what you are doing is stupid.’ He went on again and said, ‘You’re stupid,’” he recalled.
Frankie said that the insult pushed him over the edge.
“I saw red. I just picked up a chair and flung it, and it hit him on the chest,” Frankie narrated.
