Cosmetician and TikToker Ntazola Gloria has revealed the distressing reason behind her recent absence from live sessions on the platform, linking it directly to a harrowing experience with counterfeit tummy reduction pills she ordered from Korea.
Speaking in a video shared on her TikTok page on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, she explained that although she previously sold tummy reduction products, she was never satisfied with their effectiveness and refused to promote items that failed to deliver tangible results, which motivated her to try a new slimming pill she hoped would be different.
“There is a reason why I no longer go live on TikTok like I used to before,” Ntazola disclosed, setting the stage for the ordeal that followed.
She elaborated that she had initially ordered the pill because the tummy products she sold before were not very effective, and she disliked selling products that did not work.
The consequences, however, were devastating, as the product caused severe damage to her health, leaving her severely ill and resulting in drastic weight loss.
She recounted that she lost nearly ten kilograms within a single month and fell seriously ill.
According to her, the seller of the particular pill had warned her not to take the pill more than once per month, but she mistakenly took two doses in under two weeks, which greatly exacerbated the negative effects.
“So with the tummy products, I ordered this pill from Korea, and the damage this thing did to me. I have lost weight, almost 10 kilograms in a month, and I got sick. And the seller told me not to use it twice in a month, and I took two in less than two weeks,” Ntazola said.

Reflecting on the impact on her physical condition, Ntazola vividly described how thin she had become.
She displayed her weakened muscles to her followers, conveying genuine concern that the pill produced effects far beyond her expectations.
“Oh, look at my arms; oh, I am so thin,” painting a clear picture of the frailty she endured during that time.
The pill, she also narrated, caused relentless diarrhoea, vomiting, and a significant loss of appetite, symptoms that left her bedridden for almost an entire week until she was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
“Now I don’t even intend to sell it to people because I’m like, if I sell it to people, yet I am not good in the medical field, and this thing develops issues for someone who has underlying issues. Yaani, this pill is making me have diarrhoea and vomit and lose so much appetite,” she added.
Expressing immense gratitude that she had only purchased a small quantity of the product for testing purposes, she said that she was thankful to God.
“Thanks to God, I had only bought a few to test so I could come back and sell… that thing almost killed me,” underscoring just how close she came to a tragic outcome.
Ntazola also made it clear that she has no intention of selling the product to others, citing the serious health risks it poses, especially to people with underlying medical conditions, and emphasising that she lacks the medical expertise necessary to assess such dangers.
“This pill develops issues for someone who has underlying conditions,” she explained, warning consumers of the potentially life-threatening consequences of using counterfeit slimming products.
