Former radio presenter and digital content creator Deborah Chebet Ronoh has broken her silence after a heavily edited photo showing her looking bruised and beaten went viral across social media platforms.
The image, which appeared to show her with facial injuries and a swollen lip, sparked widespread speculation and alarm online.
Responding through her Instagram stories and X account on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Ronoh dismissed the photo as fake and clarified that she is safe and unharmed.
“I am completely fine, and someone has edited a picture of me for whatever reason. I am in the comfort of my home, safe and sound.”
In a follow-up post, she addressed the public directly, expressing frustration with the intrusion and false narratives being circulated.
Ronoh voiced sharp frustration over the viral spread of doctored images depicting her face as badly battered, firmly insisting she had never endured such harm nor could she recall any instance where her features were marred so severely.
“Can we be so fr [for real]… leave me alone,” she added, signalling her exhaustion with being dragged into unwarranted drama.

The viral photo had generated concern among fans and triggered conversations about online safety and the mental toll such fabrications can have on public figures.
While some users immediately questioned the authenticity of the image, others demanded a response, which she has now provided with clarity.
Cyberbullying
Ronoh’s response has come just months after she was accused by various online users of bullying and harbouring unresolved feuds with fellow content creators.
Addressing the claims head-on in an emotionally charged rant in April 2025, she dismissed the allegations as completely baseless and driven by people seeking attention through false narratives. She insisted that the individuals spreading these claims were delusional and disconnected from reality.
“Some of you people actually need help; peak delusion!” she said, adding that she is constantly dragged into controversies by people she does not even know.

“If I had a dollar for every time someone said, ‘You know Ronoh bullied me. You know, Ronoh and I have beef; you guys do not know the real Ronoh’ Rest! Because I do not know who you are, I do not know your name, and I have never met you! Delusions!”
She went on to question why anyone who truly had an issue with her would resort to complaining on social media instead of confronting her directly. According to Ronoh, most of the so-called victims were simply using her name to gain traction online. “If you have a problem with me, why are you complaining? You are just aura farming!” she said.
Ronoh further noted that she has never hidden her identity or whereabouts, and anyone with a genuine grievance should address her face-to-face instead of building online sympathy campaigns. “My address… you know my home, you know where to get me, you know I am just in Nairobi, Kenya,” she said.
Concluding her remarks, she urged critics to channel their need for attention into their own lives and families instead of projecting it onto her.
“I am telling you people, love your kids at home. Attention? Give them! I am always telling God, Please give them this attention they so badly seek. This attention they are looking for,” she said, before dramatically questioning, “Coz ni nini? What is it? Do I have your cows? Do I have your goats? What is it?”
