Video director and social media expert Bonventure Monyancha Kebati, famously known as Director Trevor, has stated that Andrew Kibe damaged his self-worth publicly through his online platform.
In a statement on Instagram on Saturday, June 28, 2025, Director Trevor decried that the former radio host made the public mock him through a nickname he gave him, ‘Kafukuswi‘, in the name of giving advice’.
“Don’t bash a young man just because he’s still finding his way. You never know what he will become. Years back, I was that young boy broken, ridiculed, and called names by someone who made it his mission to destroy me in the name of advice. He crushed my self-worth, and the world mocked me using the nickname he gave me. But I grew up, I healed, and I rebuilt myself,” he stated in his Instagram stories.
The social media expert has called on creators not to use their platforms to dim other people’s light in the name of content.
“Let this be a reminder: never dim a young man’s light. His future might shine brighter than you ever expected,” he added.

Clarification
Responding to critics, Director Trevor has clarified that Kibe asked for his managerial expertise, but not financial support, as highly perceived by the public.
“Kibe didn’t ask me for money; he asked for my managerial services, my brains, and my strategy. So I honestly don’t understand why some of you boys in the comment section are angry.
“Helping someone doesn’t always mean giving handouts; sometimes it’s offering value, direction, or structure. Let’s be clear: I built myself from the ground up. What I offer today is the result of years of learning, healing, and hard work. If that offends you, maybe the problem isn’t me; it’s your perception,” he said.
Director Trevor made headlines after breaking up with popular YouTuber Eve Mungai in February 2024.
The two created a huge fan base on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram during their time together.
