Thousands of young people today gathered in cities across Kenya to commemorate the tragic events of June 25, 2024, and celebrate the memory of Gen Z protesters who lost their lives at the time.

Last year protesters were expressing their concerns about the 2024 financial bill, penalty tax policies, poor public resource management, reducing government funding for universities and broader administrative issues.

In doing so, these young people living citizens were exercising their protected right of authority.

“I am fully involved in the feelings they expressed.

“I also request a sincere request to our security officers: Please do not direct your fellow citizens, restrain yourself and be modest. Do not meet with The procession of peace. It is only by the discussion and true readiness to listen then we will find a way to solve the nuisance in peace and restore peace in our beloved nation. The use of force and authority will exacerbate the crisis and push the country into dangerous slopes and slope. “

“My condolences to families who have lost their loved ones over the past year under these traumatic and sad conditions. Regardless of our political ideals or divisions that exist among us, this is a time to draw and reflect on the foundations of our nation.”

“We must be grouped together in ranks and party generations, to fix what has been broken and to create a righteous, accountable, and integrated future.”
