ODM leader Raila Odinga criticized former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua About his call for William Ruto to be president of one term.

Raila was speaking in Dabaso, Kilifi County, where he had joined Ruto And other mourners at the home of governor Gideon Mung’aro, who had lost his father, Gideon Mung’aro Senior.

Raila criticized Gachagua for what he described as early and tired campaigns aimed at ousting Ruto in the 2027 general election.

What did Raila tell Galaca about the brushing of William Ruto?

He questioned why Gachagua was traveling around the country for political missions within two and a half years after Ruto became president.

He wanted Gaita to accept the outcome of the 2022 election and wait for the right time to announce his expectations, based on the democratic principles implemented around the world.

“When the election is over, you agree and wait for the next wave. Then take yourself out of the wall, run the campaign as it is done in other nations. For example, in America, politicians wait until the end of the third year to announce whether they will compete or not,” Raila said.

The former prime minister held that the authority to decide who to lead the country belongs to the people, not individuals led by personal interests.

“This is a matter of saying you want to get people out of power … it’s Kenyans who will decide, not you,” he added.

Raila also referred to Gachagua’s complex remarks for ‘owning the stock’ he made while deputy president, in which he claimed that the government’s benefit should be distributed based on political trust.

Raila ignored the idea as a backdrop and dangerous to national unity.

“To tell people that some have shares, some small shares, and some have no stock at all – what kind of country is it? However all Kenyans pay taxes. That is foolish. Raila insisted.
