Helen started her career in 2010 as a community health nurse before being taken to Sekesua Health Center in Upper Manya Krobo district, in the East, where she worked for five years.
“Another midwife came but left a year later. Only this week when I started on vacation, a new midwife was assigned to the center. But even on vacation, he answers the phone because people rely on my services.
“I do not want to be proud, but my dedication and my will for this work make me boundary to provide better care. My joy is to see a mother and baby healthy, and the whole family smiling. I have never regretted working in the rural district with many challenges,” He said humbly.
