Digital content creator Ruth K has hit back at critics who have been weighing in on her body transformation, declaring that she is fed up with the scrutiny, the double standards, and the endless cycle of commentary regarding her appearance.
Speaking in a video shared on her YouTube page on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the mother of one showcased her new figure with pride before calling out those who had spent the past few months lobbing unsolicited opinions about her weight, both during her heavier days and now after her noticeable transformation.
“Before I forget, four months down the line, how is your girl looking?” she posed, twirling for the camera. “How is Mama Kalamz looking? I must show you the full turnaround. I give you a 360,” Ruth said.

While at it, Ruth rebuked netizens who like to body shame others, recalling how they once had an issue when she had gained weight and how they are still finding fault with her even after she made efforts to get slender.
She jokingly expressed that she always fails to understand such people, saying it is now clear that the issue is not necessarily about gaining or losing weight, but about their urge to constantly offer opinions about someone.
“I told you all—you people who follow Mama Kalamz—when someone gains weight, you claim she looks like a pig. When she loses weight, you start saying she is too skinny. What is the real problem?” she posed.
Ruth then challenged the body shamers, questioning whether they genuinely understand the physical and emotional demands of losing weight, emphasising that it is far from the effortless process many tend to imagine.
She insisted that individuals should be allowed to celebrate their physical progress without being made to feel guilty or mocked.
“Can people not just embrace their bodies? You all know how difficult it is to lose weight. Then, when someone manages to shed the weight in a healthy way, suddenly everyone starts murmuring and making noise. People should be allowed to shine in whatever shape they feel confident in,” she added.
New house
Ruth, who addressed the weight loss trolls while doing a cooking DIY, then reflected on how life has been recently since she relocated to a new home.
She disclosed that she had not been in the new apartment for long and that she was still in the process of acquiring fresh items for it, including cookware such as pans.
She maintained that she is not in a rush to furnish the house, adding that she would take baby steps until she has everything she desires within it.
“I told you all this is a new beginning. I have just bought a pan. Step by step — baby steps. By the way, I have not had a cooking pan since I arrived here. I have never even made pancakes because I did not own one,” Ruth said.
