Content creator Ruth K has spoken out in detail about the personal struggles she has faced following her public fallout with ex-partner, comedian Mulamwah.
The two, who once portrayed a picture-perfect couple online, have been embroiled in a messy breakup that played out before their fans on social media.
Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, June 22, 2025, Ruth shared a post that revealed the emotional pain she has endured since the relationship ended and the online drama escalated.
She credited her mother for standing by her side during the most difficult moments, saying her support had been a source of strength. However, her relationship with her father seemed strained. Ruth revealed that her father had gone silent after she last texted him, a moment that deeply hurt her.
“Momma’s prayers keep us going❤️Through it all, my family has stood by me even in the toughest times. Thanks, Mom, for immediately showing up for your daughter and helping me get all this through. Dad… you went silent since I texted last on that day, I never thought we’d reach this point,” Ruth K stated.
“I don’t know what going on through your mind,but my wish is you find peace within you.”
Ruth expressed her wish for her father to find peace, showing how much the family fallout had affected her. In a screenshot she shared, she had texted her father apologising after a private video was reportedly sent to him.
She admitted she made a mistake by trusting someone who later used intimate content against her, and she asked for forgiveness, saying she had let down her family and herself.
“Dad, I’m deeply sorry I’ve just learned that a private video was sent to you by my ex. I had no idea he would ever do something so cruel. It was my mistake letting someone like that into my life, and I’ve learned this lesson the hard way. I’m down on my knees asking for your forgiveness for letting you and our family down. This is not how you raised me, and I’m truly, truly sorry. Please forgive me, Dad,” the text message read.

The two ex-lovers’ bitter exchange online drew both sympathy and criticism, with some accusing the duo of clout-chasing. Ruth, however, made it clear that what she experienced was not a publicity stunt, but real emotional turmoil.
She shared that the breakup brought immense disrespect not just online, but privately as well, making it harder for her to heal.
Ruth said she is raising their child alone, which has added to the weight she’s carrying. She expressed disappointment over how Mulamwah handled the breakup, especially after he reportedly mocked her by sending and receiving Ksh5,000 and circulating private photos.
These actions, she said, crossed a line and stripped her of dignity, something she is now determined to reclaim.
On his side, Mulamwah defended himself by blaming Ruth for their breakup. He accused her of being disrespectful towards his parents and claimed that her friends influenced her to walk out. He said Ruth changed after gaining fame and money, which he believes was made possible through his help.
Mulamwah went further to say that Ruth continued living under his roof while secretly buying household items, suggesting that she had mentally left the relationship before it ended.
Apologies
As the drama unfolded and went viral, both Ruth and Mulamwah later issued apologies. Mulamwah admitted that he acted out of emotion and disappointment. He apologised to Ruth and his fans, saying he had let many people down. He promised to focus on his career and work on personal growth.
He acknowledged that though various factors may have pushed him, they did not justify his actions. He asked for forgiveness and extended the same to Ruth.
“I have retraced my steps and was driven by a lot of factors, but that does not justify the actions taken and done. I take back my words. Ruth, too, expressed regret over how things played out online. She apologised to her followers and took responsibility for her part in the drama. She said she had been going through a tough time behind the scenes, a storm that reminded her how much she was carrying daily.
She made it clear that her son remains her biggest motivation.
Ruth added that becoming a better woman and mother is her priority now. She said she has chosen to step back, focus on her healing, and grow her brand. For her, this new chapter is about putting her child first, rebuilding her life, and walking away from the chaos.
“I want to start by saying I am truly sorry. I know today’s posts may have come off the wrong way, and I take full responsibility. I should have done better; I will be here. Behind the scenes, I’ve been going through a quiet storm that has reminded me just how much I carry every single day,” she expressed.
