He explained that the body of the 28 -year -old teacher was drawn from the Nzoia River on June 2, in an operation conducted by officials from Matete Police Station and moved to a mortuary in Webuye.

Who killed Elijah Wamayeku?

Elijah was a teacher at Namasanda Junior Secondary School and had bought a motorcycle recently.

He gave one person the motorcycle to work as a bodaboda operator and would send the amount of money they agreed daily.

However, the family suspects the bodaboda conductor was responsible for Elijah’s death as he is currently in the process. It is also suspected that he may have disappeared with the motorcycle.

“The bodaboda operator would come for a motorcycle, to send Elijah to school before starting work himself every day,” explained Martha.

He noted that his brother’s phone was monitored and appeared in the city of Webuye, but the police suspected that his killers had given us the phone to distort the investigation after he threw his body.

“An investigation has begun about the death of my brother. They already have a chief suspect who is on the verge. There are three others involved, and we hope they will be arrested and brought to court,” he said.
