Comedian David Oyando, famously known as Mulamwah, has revealed details of the break-up with his baby mama, Ruth Kirui, also known as Ruth K.
In a statement on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Mulamwah blamed Ruth K for their failed marriage, citing the influence of friends who were jealous of their union.
“It was a nice ride, young lady. Don’t cry wolf. You broke your own home with your two hands. I warned you of the so-called friends; now see… You never listened; you kept following their advice until they helped you move out of home to Ruaka because of their jealousy of your home, family, and achievements,” he stated.
Furthermore, he has accused Ruth K of disrespecting his parents and moving out of their home after he publicly shared her name on social media and offered her brand deals.
“I gave you some deals and a name online; you got money and became proud; you disrespected me and my parents as well. You are staying under my shelter, yet you are buying your household items. A day came; you found reasons for you to leave me and left,” he lamented.
He also claimed that Ruth K opened a WhatsApp group of 84 women and claimed that he was HIV positive, which made him lose sponsors for his stand-up show.
“How do you add 84 ladies to a WhatsApp group and tell them David Oyando is HIV positive? You even added clients to the group, and they withdrew sponsorship for my stand-up show. Do I date every woman I talk to?” he posed.
The comedian has also asked his ex-lover to return his teeth after he facilitated a dental procedure (malocclusion) while they were together.
“I have tried to keep quiet for a long time, but it’s now time. You are misusing the platform you’ve been given, and please return my teeth,” he added.
This comes after Ruth K accused him of disrespect months after they broke up.
In a statement on Instagram on Thursday, June 19, 2025, Ruth K stated that she has been disrespected in public and private by her ex-lover.
“Sometimes silence is taken for granted. It’s been barely three months since the breakup, and I’ve faced disrespect in ways you wouldn’t even imagine in public and worse in private,” she lamented.
Furthermore, she has accused the comedian of taking screenshots of her and their child together and posting them on social media, despite not providing financial support.
She also accused him of reversing the money he sent to her and promised her fans that she would give her account of the story one day.
“I’m trying to heal, gather myself emotionally, but it’s draining. You send Ksh5000 and reverse it, then have the nerve to screenshot a photo I put so much effort into? The audacity is loud. Enough is enough. I take my respect back. One day I will tell my story,” she declared.
Her statement comes after Mulamwah posted a picture of Ruth K and their child on Facebook from a recent photoshoot, leaving fans to speculate whether they had rekindled their love.
The couple officially called it quits in April 2025, leaving fans shocked and wondering what led to the end of their relationship.
