In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Monica Mwangi reported that she had stopped attending a church in Nairobi run by a female prophet, shortly before losing her daughter, Njoki.

She explained that joining the church had ruined her personal life, her business, and even affected her daughter’s education.

“It was December 23, 2023, and my daughter who had a fruit and catering business after leaving school was at work, but we had agreed that she would return home at 11 pm for dinner,” Said Monica.

Monica said that her daughter was happy at the time, as the Christmas feast approached, but she personally felt mysterious sadness.

“Two weeks before that day, something was making me so old. I didn’t know what it was, but I was just crying for no reason,” he added.

Despite those bad feelings, he was looking forward to spending that evening well with Njoki, who came home happy, smiling.

Monica explained that she prepared dinner for two, with her daughter sharing the good news about the customers who had entrusted her culinary work for Christmas.

They kept talking and enjoying the chicken soup that Monica cooked, and then Njoki went to the shower.

She recalled that her daughter looked healthy, happy, and eagerly looking forward to celebrating the festival.

“I went to bed. Then, about ten minutes before seven o’clock at night, I heard a bomb sound in the house. Said Monica bitterly.

He screamed and called for help, neighbors arrived and rushed Njoki to the hospital.

“I called him by his name but he did not respond. The doctors said they tried to the best of their ability, but he died suddenly,” Said Monica sadly.

What happened to Monica Mwangi’s daughter?

One year and six months later, Monica still wonders what happened to her beloved daughter.

He claimed the death of Njoki was related to the female prophet, who had emotionally and financially dissolved.

“Since I left the church, no one visited me. Said Monica.

Monica said that the prophet claimed that Njoki appeared to him in a dream a week before his death, which made the mother ask if her daughter’s death was normal or was caused by magic.

He said that he might have been targeted for the secrets he had, but death had found his daughter instead.

“There is another woman who died after leaving the church, like me. She joined another church, died, and then the prophet ran back to buy a coffin. he added.
