The disclosure highlighted the pressure, threats, and secret plans involving senior officers at the Central police station in Nairobi.

Police officer Constable James Mukhwana, in a statement posted to the Independent Police Observers Authority (IPOA), explained in detail how he was included in the conspiracy to demand Ojwang be attacked in detention, a plan allegedly supported by the Center’s Chief Executive Officer, Samson Talam.

How was Mukhwana threatened?

But it was not just an act that bothered him, but how orders were issued, full of threats, leadership reminders, and silent money.

According to the 27 -year -old officer, who joined the service in 2018, the entire activity was started on the evening of June 7, 2025.

At 7:30 pm, he was called from a report desk by Deputy OCS Inspector Ng’ang’a and taken to the Talam office. The door was locked behind them.

Inside, Talam allegedly started with an unusual brief statement, citing an order alleged from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Eliud Langat and said officials from headquarters DCI They will send the suspect soon.

He told Mukhwana to direct the prisoners to the cells to “honor him” the incoming prisoner, a hidden reference to physical attack.

Surprised, Mukhwana remembered asking what would happen if things went wrong during the attack on the young blogger.

“Then I asked him” I have never seen here? And if it gets worse? “He replied no you can’t reject the command of the great one. Since I have agreed because I am stupid and if you refuse something can happen to you and you are a junior officer. I replied the same, sir,” Constable said in his testimony that TUKO.co.ke read it.

Mukhwana calls the inmate who will punish Ojwang

At the bottom, Mukhwana went to a long -time prisoner by the name Ngige, gave him KSh 2,000, and explained the work. Ngige agreed to find the right people for that.

A few minutes later, Ngige returned with a list of dedicated prisoners but made a special request that they would need alcohol before carrying out the role, which Mukhwana obeyed.

“Later I left and went to the canteen and bought alcohol and brought it. Mukhwana said.

As the move progressed, PC Kimani replaced the cell protector and moved the prisoners to the waiting cage, thus confirming the presence of each other.

This was about an hour before Ojwang was placed in the same cells, and up to the morning, he was dead.
