Former Cabinet Secretary (CS) for public service, performance and delivery management Moses Kuria has revealed plans to become the secretary general for the Jubilee Party.

Kuria, who currently serves as a senior advisor in President William Ruto’s Council of Economic Advisors (CEA), has hinted that he could be on his way to join Jubilee party, a party he once served as a member.

Kuria revealed his intentions on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in a post on X with an image of former President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is the current Jubilee Party leader.

This comes days after the outspoken politician congratulated Uhuru for gaining full control of the Jubilee party.

In a statement shared on his official X account on Thursday, June 12, 2025, Kuria commended Uhuru for reclaiming leadership of the Jubilee Party, noting that as political tensions and divisions in Kenya intensify, the party, under his leadership, has a crucial role in maintaining national unity and ensuring the country’s stability.

“Congratulations, my senior brother, President Uhuru Kenyatta, for winning back control of the Jubilee Party. At a time when there is a competition to burn Kenya through escalation, emotions and divisions, the Jubilee Party under your stewardship has a major role to play in keeping Kenya safe. The future is luminous,” Kuria stated.

This comes ahead of the 2027 General Elections, in which different political players are looking to gain influence over the vote-rich Mt Kenya region.
