Self-proclaimed TikTok president Rose Atieno, alias Nyako, has, barely a day after Milly Wa Doc was laid to rest, stepped forward to explain some of the reasons why she did not contribute even a single coin to support her burial.
Speaking during a live video on Saturday, June 14, 2025, Nyako said that she no longer wants people to keep pestering her with constant questions about why she did not offer any donation despite being outspoken throughout the entire period when the burial was trending.
According to her, she wanted to contribute, but when she asked the family representatives during the burial live streams to message her so she could send money, no one replied.
“You are blaming us, saying we never contributed anything to Milly’s fundraiser. I did try to contribute. I said ‘app me, app me’ and they refused to app me. So do not blame me, I went there, and they saw me, but they ignored me, and I walked away,” Nyako said.

Furthermore, Nyako, who is currently based in Germany, added that she feels her explanation is reasonable and should be accepted, and people should stop casting blame on her name.
“Please do not try to blame me, saying I never went there. I went,” she said.
Weight struggles
In the same live session, Nyako lashed out at a fan who boldly expressed his admiration and claimed that he would love to date her.
She rebuked the admirer, saying that it was not the right moment to be hitting on her, as she is currently grappling with personal battles around her weight and body image.
“You are bothering me too much. I am dealing with weight issues,” she added.
She further explained that she is now focused on exploring alternative ways through which she can shed weight and said that it is only when she begins to witness notable progress with her body that she will be ready to entertain conversations about dating and relationships.
“You know I am too fat, I really want to lose weight. I am dealing with weight issues. I do not like my back… my back is too big and I do not like it. I genuinely want to cut weight,” she said.
At the same time, Nyako, who was using descriptive language to comment on her curvaceous figure, expressed that such wording has previously landed her in trouble, saying that it has triggered account restrictions and platform warnings.
She insisted that she has now learned not to always be so candid when describing her body, because she does not want to face the consequences of having her account blocked again.
“That content will get me banned from TikTok. That kind of language will cause my account to be taken down, and I do not want that, but just look at how my backside has become so big, and yet I do not even show it off,” she added.
Milly’s burial
The burial that Nyako had been referring to was that of one Milkah Nyatuga Moranga, famously known as Milly wa Doc, who tragically passed away due to pregnancy-related complications coupled with kidney failure.
She was considered one of Kenya’s A-list TikTokers, and her untimely demise in the early days of June brought the entire TikTok community to a near standstill.

TikTokers mourned her for several days, with her 21-year-old son constantly updating fans during livestreams about the funeral arrangements and the ongoing contribution efforts.
After prolonged delays and heated back-and-forths over the contribution process, Milly was finally laid to rest at the Nakuru South Cemetery in a solemn and tearful burial, where her children could be seen breaking down emotionally as their mother’s casket was slowly lowered into the grave.
