Where was the Nairobi Central police OCS arrested?
The officer was arrested in the city Eldoret Friday afternoon, June 13, and handed over to the Independent Police Management Authority (IPOA), which is investigating the killing of blogger Albert Ojwang.
IPOA said Talam was a favorite person, since Ojwang died in the cells within the center he manages.
Talam was detained along with other officials in Central at the order of Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja.
Police said he was being transported to the IPOA headquarters in Nairobi.
IPOA now has two police officers in detention; Constable James Mukhwana, a defender when Ojwang was detained, was arrested on Thursday, June 12, and brought to court a day later.
Why DCI wanted OCS Talam to be considered as a great suspect
Talam’s arrest comes a few days after the head of the Criminal Investigation Department (DCI), Mohamed Amin, referred to him as the main suspect in the murder case.
According to Amin, the way the OCS dealt with the matter directed him that it was more likely to be involved.

In a statement to IPOA, the official said the deceased was not at the center and when he went there he found him seriously injured.

In the hospital, doctors confirmed that Ojwang was already dead, as there was no heart attack or breath, with the body cold.
Doctors asked the police to take the body to the corpse they would choose; It was sent to the Nairobi conservatives, which is usually called the City’s corpse.
