Why did June Murugi disappear at home?
The eighth -grade student at St Anthony School, Mugumo, reportedly left home at seven o’clock at night following a small issue at the school.
His sister explained that June was carrying juice at school, which was against the law.
His teacher threatened to report the incident to his parents. When he got home, his family told him to obey the teacher’s instructions and to avoid breaking the rules of the school.
“He must be afraid of punishment, and maybe that’s why he decided to leave,” Njambi added.
The family gave the girl a rest time, thus allowing her to explain what had happened, where she was, and how she survived the week she missed.
