Rise of Gen Z Goliath

Standing at over 8 feet tall, he first caught the public’s eye when a video of him calmly walking during the Gen Z protests went viral on social media.

Born and raised in Majengo, Vihiga County, Bradley later moved to Nairobi in search of work. He started as a beba beba and later became a matatu conductor in Kangemi. He struggled to find clothes, shoes, and even beds that could fit his size.

His life changed almost overnight when a short video of him during the protests began trending on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).

Since going viral, Bradley has travelled across the country for interviews and brand deals. He has worked with top local companies like Khushi Motors, Mobile-Hub Kenya, and Bespoke City Exclusive, which even designed a custom suit just for him.

In January 2025, Bradley jetted to Dubai for work and adventure, quickly diving into the city’s luxury and sharing glimpses of his lavish experiences online.

A highlight of the trip came when the popular Zam Zam brothers, Dubai-based electronics moguls, gifted him a Ksh200,000 iPhone 15, an extravagant gesture captured in a video posted on his Facebook page on February 7, 2025.

The gift seemed like a clever attempt to get Bradley to extend his stay after he hinted at returning to Kenya.

“Hey, Mr Zam Zam, I want to go back to Kenya,” Bradley said.

“Why, bro? Do you want to go back to Kenya?” his host asked.

“You’ve been gifting people iPhones, yet I haven’t received any!” Bradley replied.

“Really? I didn’t give you a phone. No, bro, sorry, I forgot. But why are you worried? This Zam Zam shop is your shop. Here, take this iPhone 15 Pro Max. Please don’t go back to Kenya,” the businessman said, handing him the phone straight off the shelf.

He often opens up about the challenges that come with being exceptionally tall, wearing EU size 50 shoes and struggling to find a comfortable bed but he chooses to focus on the positives. He uses his platform to encourage others to embrace their uniqueness.

“People stare at me, but I’ve learned to accept who I am. I’m proud of myself,” he once shared.
