The Ojwang ‘family, which lives in Kasipul parliament, Homa Bay County, has revealed that the police assured them that their son would be safe, but later received reports of his death a few hours later.

Talking to NTVThe family also explained about the deadline before Ojwang ‘arrested. They expressed their surprise about how healthy a person like Ojwang would die in such a confusing way.

The family said the blogger was arrested by police officers on Saturday, June 7, and taken to the Mzwago police station before being transported to Nairobi.

“They told us that they were sending the boy to Nairobi. The police officers assured us that he was in hand. Said his uncle Ojwang ‘, Herman Opiyo.

Opiyo added that Ojwang ‘, who was also a teacher, left them before being taken to a private black blue car.

The deceased’s uncle said that they had not yet agreed with the reports of his death, and asked the government to comment on what had happened.

“We confidently pray that the police should come out and tell us openly where Albert Omondi Ojwang is, because so far we have not believed he was dead, especially the one I had that day was taken,” Said Herman Opiyo.

Meanwhile, his father Ojwang ‘, Meshack, said that due to the concerns he had, he decided to travel to Nairobi police station to find out his son’s condition.
