The young teacher was reported to have died in the hands of police, allegedly injuring himself, which led to his death.
However, many Kenyans believe there is more than that story and want answers about what happened within police cells.
What happened to Albert Ojwang’s account of X (formerly Twitter)?
Just a few hours after reports of his death spread, Kenyans poured into the streets demanding justice and demanding investigative agencies take action.
Photos and videos of human rights defenders such as Hussein Khalid and Hanifa Adan were circulated online showing on the streets pushing for justice.
The protesters carried posters with Ojwang’s photo, with messages demanding those responsible for his death to be charged.
Questions have also arisen about his X account, which is currently unavailable on the forum.
The quick search of his X Alberto Januzaj names takes you to the page but shows the message that says “account is closed.”
Kenyans want to know who and when the account was deleted, and where it was made.
Information allegedly shared by Ojwang is no longer there, which leaves doubts about what he was facing.
Here are some comments about his account and his sudden death:

“Albert Ojwang was killed because of a message on Twitter. Let that be clear. First they were priests, now it is a blogger, tomorrow will be you, your child, or your husband/wife. We live in a country that justifies government cruelty.
