The seventh -grade student reportedly prepared lunch at his home on Friday, June 6, when two armed men raided the house and attacked him with two of his younger siblings: A fifth -grade boy and a three -year -old child.

According to a resident, Richard Chepchomoi, the three children were alone at home when the incident occurred.

“The incident has sparked panic among villagers. This is the first time a kidnapping has happened here,” Said Chepchomoi. “Now we are very concerned about the safety of our school -going children, especially those who walk long distances. The authorities must quickly rescue the girl and bring the perpetrators before the law.”

Yatya area chief Jackson Keitany confirmed that the suspects were later seen with a girl disappearing in Rionong’o, Tiaty East – more than 50 kilometers from the kidnapping area.
