The locals expressed their anger against the police, who accused them of failing to protect them against criminals.
They said the area had witnessed an increase in insecurity in recent months. According to locals, within three months, at least three people have been killed in a confusing environment, but so far, no one has been arrested.
When the officers arrived to pick up the body, the locals attacked them, and they had to flee for their safety.

“We are facing a great tragedy in Likuyan. People are being killed in extreme cold, but the police are there. Their job is to take the bodies and deceive us that they are investigating. We are tired,” said John Sifuna, one of the locals. “
“We are calling on the Ministry of Interior to relocate all officers from this area because we do not see their work. They are only busy when looking for Chang’aa producers, but when it comes to security, they are reluctant to take action,” he added.
