Nairobi – Driver of former Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ongo Were, Walter Owino Awino, has been released.

On Tuesday, June 3, Awino was brought before the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Law Court for the mention of the murder case.
However, to the surprise, the prosecution dismissed the charges against Awino and instead told the court that he would be the chief prosecution of the prosecution in the case.
There was an emotional incident after Awino, who had been detained for several weeks on suspicion of being involved in the murder of his former boss, released.
In a video shared by Citizen TV, Awino and his close relatives were seen outside the JKIA court requesting.
They seemed to be holding hands, thanking God for the emotion for the decision made by the prosecution to release their son.
Due to the video, it was clear that the family felt comfort from the recent development in the case of the Were murder.
Awino was among the people arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Kasipul MP.
Awino was driving the MP’s car on the day he was killed by gunmen near the City Mortuary circuit.
