Lawyers have condemned his arrest saying it was a way to intimidate Rose and others who oppose the bill.

The Kenyan Law Society (LSK) led by its President Faith Odhiambo has expressed their sadness over the difficulty of obtaining permission to visit Rose to give her legal assistance.

“All efforts to ensure that he is given a police bail have been hampered by officers in charge of the case, who have not responded to the lawyers’ request,” Odhiambo said in a statement.
