According to photos released by the Sikika Road Safety Force, a crowd of concerned people gathered at the scene while the car was lying in the car.
The photos show people inside the car crawling carefully from a car that was at risk of plunging.
They seemed confused for a while but were grateful to be alive.
The good news is that no serious injuries or deaths have been reported.
Residents narrated how they heard the sounds of the sound while the driver struggled to return the car to the road unsuccessfully.
What followed what they saw was a freight car that was slowing down and leaving the path before landing on the terrace.
The cause of the accident is still unknown, and until the time of submitting this report, the authorities had not yet issued a formal statement.
Drivers using the busy highway have been encouraged to be cautious, especially in areas with steep steepness and poor visibility.
The incident adds to the growing list of accidents related to roads reported on Kenyan roads in recent weeks.
