A video circulating online captured a sad incident in which Hannah’s mother was disappointed outside the city of Nakuru, crying bitterly as relatives tried to comfort her.
He was overwhelmed with sadness, he fell to the ground and began to call his daughter in a sad voice, unable to understand what had happened.
Waithera, 23, disappeared on May 21 after leaving his shop M-money On Kenyatta Road go to keep his employer money.
Reports indicate that his body was later found in the pond after residents complained of strong odors in the area.
“He didn’t deserve this,” her mother cried in the video, hugging the family. “He was my son … my only hope.”
That sad discovery came after one week of suffering and questions without answers.
Her husband, Zacharia Karanja, had asked for help through social networks, accusing the police of addressing the issue of lost money instead of finding his wife.
The reality of his death is still unknown, and a deadly investigation is expected to be conducted soon to determine the cause of the death.
Police have said an investigation is ongoing.
As the family prepares for a funeral, Kenyans online are united to mourn, demanding justice for Hannah and demanding authority conduct a thorough investigation into the case.
